When I first started my business, I knew I wanted creativity to be at the heart of everything I did, in a way that was not possible while I was working for someone else. The only problem with this was I had made up a lot of assumptions about how the "business" side of my business could not be creative because business is serious. Basically, I ignored the "serious" side of my business because when I thought about writing a business plan it left me cold and even when I did write a plan, it was so dry and alien to everything I love about my business that I put the plan away somewhere and forgot about it.
In 2007, I saw one of Jennifer Lee's plans on her blog and was immediately inspired to create one of my own. I couldn't quite believe it. Could it really be true that I can create a business plan based on creativity, intuition and play? Working with the Right-Brain Business Plan® has shifted the way I work on my business from burying my head in the sand to visioning, intention setting and asking for what I want. My right-brain talents help me create my business rather than being obstacles to my business planning.
